Great video. I’d like to find out your clay secret. I have been digging my own as a school project with some kids i work with. I know nothing about clay but have managed to make pots. Copied the small pot you do in another video. I have had little success fireing them though so dont know if its the clay or my technique. Im from Scotland It rains alot here so getting a run of hot weather is a challenge.
Still I love your work and regret not buying one of you pots from coyote corner when i was in Joshua tree last month. Didnt realise they where your till after I left.

That would be great. There is nothing on youtube that covers different clays and how to get the best out of them.

Great video….been trying to figure out how to fire in my yard and worried about sparks…..do you know how hot the charcoal fire gets?

If you use regular charcoal briquettes you can get to around 1600 F . The more charcoal and air the hotter it will get. Briquettes do not spark like the lump charcoal

mesquite seems real hot. I have seen your briquets firing and it seems a little more controllable. The brick kiln seems more controllable also?
