I love these videos that help show the process, could you please show the finished product, it seems hardly anyone does, it would be nice to see how the piece turns out!
To the young man in the video (Ben Carter), when you decide to fill your pastry bag with slip, it’s helpful to use a spatula and then fold the top of your bag over your hand or put the whole thing in a glass/container with the top of the bag folded over the glass. It’s easier to fill this way and less messy…..
I did not understand . what did you use for line in color black?
used Red clay & applied black glaze on it & applied gray(looking) glaze on black one…
right? or ?
I didnt like how the final product came out but the process was good. He gave a lot of helpful tips and tricks that i, without a doubt, will use later. Also i should look up chinese flower painting in my free time. my college offers han chinese painting and i might take it as a minor next year
Very nice demo! One tip my sister, who decorated cakes, gave me,…turn the top edge of the bag over (1-2″) before filling the bag. This keep the top edge clean, so it’s less messy to “roll” the top of the bag closed before squeezing out the slip.
Great video! Very clear descriptions & nice to see the finished plates.
I really appreciated the comments about cleaning up work surface AND floor, and explanation.
Could you put the names of the artists in the video info please? Thanks!

Hello Tania, Thanks for watching the video. I don’t have an image of this exact piece finished but you can see a similar one on my Facebook page at the following link. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151858852374584&set=pb.180211509583.-2207520000.1385963890.&type=3&theater

Good art
I love that you showed the completed pieces at the end of this.
Sorry. I like the basic plate shape. But none of the decoration. Or at least the way he did it. Very amateurish. Not impressed at all.

From the time you cleaned up the piece after applying slip … and allowing to dry…it turned from brown to grey ? Can you explain…
