They blew up the coral with TNT???
It’s unbelievable to do that for JUNK
Hurt the coral etc and all that work for a few hundred dollars now if it was gold worth millions
All I can think of is blowing up the coral š
smu72 right!? A whole 2 minutes and that’s all that matters!
I know it sounds like so much fun!!!!
He did what? OMG!
He ‘had to’ do it
If Cousteau blew up the coral, more than dishes were to be found.
Silver, gold, jewelry, coin would more be the answer.
probably lots of easily convertible to cash items
On the topic of hurting the ocean, look up how Fukushima is destroying the Pacific Ocean. š¢
“They had to blow up coral with TNT”
*Greta enters the chat*
“HOW DARE YOU!”
Haha, yeah. I wasn’t very happy about that either, but… that was quite a ways back in our history where we hadn’t yet experienced the kind of coral decline we see today. If only they had known then what we know now, they wouldn’t have been quite so cavalier, I’m sure.
If it was the government or someone you voted for you would be ok with it probably.
@bob733333 no i would vote them out the first chance i got, never make exuses for people doing the wrong thing even if its your family, it doesnt help anyone
I am horrified at the thought of these blokes blowing up coral to pilfer boots from sunken ships. Blowing up coral for any reason is bad enough.
Yes, I know it was a long time ago but it’s still not a good look.
Blowing up coral and looting a shipwreck. What a disgusting story.
I just researched online and the story of Jacques Cousteau using dynamite is true. It was portrayed in one of Jacques early films. Apparently he was an ocean explorer before he was a naturalist and sea conservator.
More like Ocean Plunderer!!! He was driven by greed !!!!
FL eyg
Well that sucked !!! $150 for all the work it took to get them off the ocean floor.. geeezzzz
$150 for the destruction of coral. Disgraceful.
@Stephanie Yee no doubt.. so many life forms live in coral.. all for a worthless treasure..
Anyone who blows up coral for money should see serious jail time.
you should start a petition to arrest Jacques Cousteau … oh crap, he’s been dead for over 20 years
If anyone did it today they would face jail time, and alot of death threats people dont take kindly to destroying the environment anymore
I have a 2 small cups, paper thin. my sister’s friend gave them to her over 20 years ago and said it’s from a shipwreck in Vietnam. I’m still keeping them
Blew up heaps of coral reef for that! he was braindead, im actually happy with the amount of people on here that care about this, š¤
Great story……? Blowing up coral?!
A part of my childhood was Jacques Cousteau on National Geographic filming the amazing life of the oceans of this world. But now that memory is tarnished.
Lol
Blow up Coral reef š šno no no . Iām glad that it was only worth 150.00
My heart stopped when she said they blew up tons of coral.
HA! I love that they never went back to her face after he told her itās only worth $150ā¦ she probably thought she had a million dollar itemā¦ anyone who keeps items like these knowing how it acquired deserves this kind of karma.
Wait….BLEW UP THE CORAL? UGHHHH NOOOOOO
Coral is much more precious than that.
