DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!! Jesse and I are so grateful for the opportunity to visit the Bitossi Museum and bring all of you along with us! Today we are going to get behind closed doors for a once in a lifetime opportunity to view over 7,000 pieces of Bitossi pottery, many of which were never even produced. Seeing first hand the process these pieces go through from initial concept to the finished product was overwhelming and inspiring!

What a fantastic opportunity you both had in visiting the Bitossi Museum. I am so grateful to you for sharing this with us. To see so many gorgeous pieces and learn more about the history of Bitossi is really incredible. Thank you so much for allowing us all to come with you both – on this special visit – and on your whole trip! So enjoyable! With love from your friend, Sharon, in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. xo xo

Oh Laura, what a once in a lifetime experience! The next time I am in Florence, this is a definite adventure. I went back and saw the video again, without the music, the pottery is breathtaking. Thank you, thank you, thank you!❤️👍❤️

  3. Linda Kay Holevas

Oh my gosh, I have been waiting for this video! Thank you, I enjoyed every minute!
I can’t even imagine actually being there & seeing it all in person, it must have been amazing! I’m going to have to watch this one again so I can make sure I didn’t miss anything:) xo

I was in awe of the orange. I am so hopeful to find one of those one day. Absolutely awesome.

    2. Linda Kay Holevas

@Shannon Matuch Me, too! Orange is actually my favorite color, so I really appreciated all of it. It’s definitely on my bucket list! Take care!

  4. Linda Mcnamara

Thank you for sharing the museum. Looked like a wonderful time , all your favorites. If they let you take a piece home I’d bet you’d bought it a seat on the plane. Your guide was lovely and made for a great learning experience. Peace

  5. Shannon Matuch

Thank you, thank you for introducing me to Bitossi in the 1st place. The museum was super cool and I was surprised to see the orange. Now I will make it a goal on my thrifting adventures to find an orange Bitossi in the wild.

Oh Laura. Thank you for taking us along on this incredible journey through Bitossi Museum. Spectacular!!!! Learned so much. Going to revisit this and treat myself to seeing all that wonderful pottery again. Thank you.

This was amazing, you did a wonderful job Lauren filming and as a new museum I think it was a great thing for Bitossi.
I’m a (old) new fan ….. I’m always in the charity shops I will be more aware of Bitossi from you video. Thanks 😊 for sharing, looked like a great holiday. 🥂🇮🇹

Thanks, Laura! I watched this video after finding a pottery vase at a sale, made in Italy, with fish on it. I know nothing about pottery so aske about it in a selling group to which I belong. Found out it is probably a mass produced one out of Italy after Bitossi inspired pieces were exported to America., “ Florence Unknown” was a descriptor suggested to me. I learned something additional from this video. Mine does not have the letter “B” on the bottom. 😟

Since I’ve discovered your channel through recycle life and now I have learned so much about Bitossi, Lara Larson and others. When I am out I am always on the look out for these pieces, no luck yet. I have picked up a “flower frog” for displaying flowers, hopefully that’s the correct name for it. Well done Laura 👌👏

See! See! Years of learning, searching, wishing, planning and working came to fruition for you! I am so happy you shared this with us. Everything about the tour was first class and beautiful. Arianna was a delight and a treasure to the company and museum. Thanks to all of you from my little corner in Florida.

  11. Emily Malcolm

OH MY LORDY !!!! My eyes were all over the place. What an honour to take a peek at such an amazing collection.

  12. Laura Caldwell

Update! Tove (an amazing admin from my Facebook Bitossi identification group) let me know that the cat we picked up in Florence was NOT a knock off!! 🥳 It is in fact a Bitossi piece made for Sardinian retailer Sardartis 🙌

Love how The Universe provides us treasures! Congratulations 🎉🎉❤️🎉🎉

    2. Cathleen Weaver

That’s awesome. I bet that felt like a huge relief???? 💜💙💚💛🧡

    3. I just saw another YouTuber pick up a Bitossi Penguin at an Antique Store for $38.00. The vendor had it marked “Funky Clay Penguin”.

  13. Sidney Stewart

Fantastic ❤️❤️❤️ I found my one and only piece at a thrift store and did not know what I was getting, I just realized it was Italian and it was quality. Then to my surprise I found out how valuable it is and I absolutely treasure it! It is a 7 and 1/2 in vase in the blue and green. I absolutely love it and was attracted to it because those were the colors my mother loved. ❤️

  14. The Timeless Rose Vintage

Thanks so much for taking us a long for the tour Laura! What an AMAZING collection! There were so many designs & colors I didnt’ even know they made! But the blue will always be my fav as that’s what my fav color is 🙂 I absoutely love art pottery too <3

  15. Paige Pooler

Thank you for this amazing tour!! I can’t imagine how cool it was to see it all up close and in person! I might have wept that work is so stunning!

  16. Denise Campbell

Thank you so much for filming and sharing the Bitossi museum. I doubt that I will ever be able to get to Italy so this definitely was the next best thing. Great video and probably one that I will watch again.
