Pablo Picasso worked with a close friend Robert Picault in the idyllic coastal town of Vallauris from 1948-1953.
During this time there was a revival of decorative pottery with numerous key creators – the Massier family, Roger Capron, Robert Picault and of course Picasso who, inspired by the turquoise of the Mediterranean created beautiful ceramic pieces.
