From my Greek & Roman Art class, this is the last segment of the 4th class lecture, which concludes our discussion of Archaic Greek Art. Following Lecture 4's Introduction to the Archaic period and brief discussion of Architecture [Lecture 4-A], this video moves beyond the stylistic discussions of Archaic vase painting [Lecture 4-B (Part 1)] to focus on themes of gender & sexuality in Greek art, particularly vase painting of the Archaic period. The discussion of Archaic art will continue with a separate discussion on sculpture in Lecture 05 (corresponding to the 5th class).
